Under 12 – Under 18 date (U20 dates below)
Session 1: Friday 29th September – 4:30 – 8pm
Session 2: Sunday 1st October – 12 – 4pm
Session 3: Friday 6th October – 6:30 – 9:30pm (Invitation only sessions)
Session 4: Sunday 8th October – 12 – 4pm
Session 5: Friday 13th October – 6:30 – 9:30pm (Invitation only sessions)
Session 6: Sunday 15th October – 12 – 4pm

All athletes must attend session one unless advised to administration
Under 12s 4:30pm – 6:00pm
Under 14s 4:30pm – 6:00pm
Under 16s 6:30pm – 8pm
Under 18s 6:30pm – 8pm - All other try out session times @ MSAC: (Friday sessions are by invitation only)
Under 12s Fridays (6:30pm – 8:00pm) & Sundays (2pm – 4pm)
Under 14s Fridays (6:30pm – 8:00pm) & Sundays (2pm – 4pm)
Under 16s Fridays (8:00pm – 9:30pm ) & Sundays (12pm – 2pm)
Under 18s Fridays (8:00pm – 9:30pm) & Sundays (12pm – 2pm) - Under 20s – All U20’s in MSAC Arena / Showcourts
Session 1: Sunday October 1st (4:00 – 6:00pm)
Session 2: Saturday October 7th (4:00 – 6:00pm)
Session 3: Sunday October 15th (4:00 – 6:00pm) - All of our trainings will be held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC), Aughtie Drive, Albert Park
- You MUST register with Play HQ before attending the Try Outs and registrations close Sunday 24th September

- Tryouts to start for all the Boys on Friday 29th September and will go Friday / Sunday for at least 3 weeks.

- There will be no parents allowed into the stadium during tryouts (Fridays and Sundays). Parents are

- VERY IMPORTANT: 12.3 and 14.3s will be all bottom age players in next seasons teams.
Yes #1 team can pick a bottom age player but if they don’t make #1 team they will be going to 3s or below.
12.2 and 14.2 will be ALL TOP age players.

READ FIRST BEFORE REGISTERING
Participants are to continue attending and to make themselves available to train in our Try Outs, practice games and training sessions,
on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons during October, November & December 2023.
We finish off the basketball year on Friday December 15th, 2023 and start back training on Sundays 14th January 2024.

Register with Play HQ
To register properly you must:
Go to the Play HQ Try Outs registration, complete all the information requested and at the end of the registration process
you will be required to pay the $100 tryout registration fee.
The tryout registration fee covers administration and court hire at MSAC throughout the tryout process. No exceptions.
Fill in all the details correctly.
Go back over what you have written and check that there has been no red error message on any of the items requested
All players Trying Out will have to pay $100 via Credit Card. The payment system is at the end of the entry form.
When players type in your date of birth, the system will calculate your 2024 age group and the age group for Try Outs.
If your age group is not what you expected, the machine is not wrong, it’s calculating your age group for the following (2024) year. In basketball, everybody has to comply with this FIBA rule.

Please ensure contact details on your registration are correct as you will be added into a Stack TeamApp group
on Monday 25th September.
TRY OUTS – On the Day
If you have properly registered, your name will be on our registrations list. You will be assigned a Try Out number.
You will received an e-mail prior to the first try out with your assigned number. Please turn up with the number
on your left arm and right calf.
You will be required to sign in and will be advised where to go at the sign in desk.
WARNING
In past years we have got a number of wrong e-mails and wrong mobile numbers listed on the registration forms.
Please check and double-check. It is important that we are able to quickly contact you and your family.
